This page is for parents, students, and visitors to find out what’s happening in Year 2, as well as a place to celebrate all the amazing work our children do.

Year 2 is a lively, hands‑on year where learning feels exciting, inclusive and full of discovery. Children explore new ideas through engaging activities that spark curiosity and build confidence, whether they’re working together, investigating independently or getting creative. Every child is supported, encouraged and brought along on the journey so they can thrive, feel proud of their progress and enjoy the adventure of learning.

Learning highlights:

Year 2 have been working hard writing non-chronological reports all about owls! The children researched fascinating facts about where owls live and what they eat, using books, websites, and other resources to gather their information

This week in science, we explored how materials can change shape!

Year 2 worked hard exploring how we can prevent germs by washing out hands. We learnt how keeping clean is part of a healthy lifestyle.
