Karole Sargent (Proud to be) Executive Headteacher
We are a Church of England School and we are incredibly proud to be an inclusive school which welcomes all children into our school family. Our school provides an exciting curriculum as well as a wide range of experiences so that all pupils can succeed and develop a love of learning.
Our pupils understand the importance of ‘respecting yourself, respecting others and respecting the environment’. This culture of respect is apparent as soon as you walk into our school. If you would like to visit St Mary’s to experience our school first hand, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Junior Leadership Team
We are pleased to announce that the class votes for the Junior Leadership Team have been counted and verified and our Junior Leadership team for 2019-2020 is…
Year 3– Isabel and Thnayyan
Year 4– Robson and Retaj
Year 5– Mohammed and Grace
Year 6– Martha and Elliot
I’m sure they will do a fantastic job at ensuring the childrens’ voices and views are fully represented in our school.
Mrs Richards holds the JLT meeting each week and feeds back the groups views to the school’s Senior Leadership Team.
We would like to warmly welcome Mrs Richards back to St Mary’s after a time of absence– it’s lovely to have her back!
Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health First Aiders are a point of contact if you, or someone you are concerned about (including your children), are experiencing mental health issues or emotional distress. They are not therapists or psychiatrists but they can give you initial support or signpost you to appropriate support if required. The Mental Health First Aider in school is Miss Miller. You can pop into her office to see her most mornings or after school, or call 01142344461 to make an appointment.
Pudsey Bun Sale
On Friday we will be having a bun sale in the main school hall, after school, to raise money for Children in Need. We would warmly welcome donations of buns, cakes and cookies to sell on the stalls. If you could drop them in at the office on Friday morning it would be greatly appreciated.
There are lots of exciting events happening during the half term holidays around the city. Please click her for the full programme.
